Midori's face remained flushed, although toned down. She didn't go on many dates, because really she didn't have the time, but, she was used to them ending with the man wanting a good night kiss, if not more. And this... She liked this. However, she knew she would stumble over her words should she try and say anything, so, she just intertwined her fingers with her companions, and hoped it would be good enough. Because sometimes, actions just speak louder than words.

And they did. He let her intertwine their fingers and he turned, "Well, let's go find something else we can do," he offered, his smile having grown a bit. That was a good enough sign for him, and one he would hold onto. He didn't know what he wanted in the end, but this was certainly looking good.

Midori smiled again, giving a nod. "Un," She said, sort of leading the way around the park, only because she probably knew it better - no, she knew she knew it better - than he did. She was almost - almost - grateful that the man she had actually supposed to be on a date with had ditched her. Honestly, she would never have had even close to how much fun she was having now, even if they were barely doing anything.

He followed, choosing to stay at her side. This day was turning out better than planned. He considered telling her about what he was there for originally, but chose not to. He didn't want her to know he was looking for women. It might make her wonder what all this was about, when it was real, not something he wanted, like before.

Midori thought as they walked. Most rides weren't an opinion, what with the panda, and frankly, she didn't like most of them anyway. They were, however, passing by a line of people talking when her stomach randomly started rumbling some, remind her that she had eaten breakfast, and skipped lunch in favour of catching up on some sleep, before coming here. Oops.

He smiled, "Well, let's go get something to eat," he said, "I'll buy," he assured her. As an avatar, he could eat. He didn't need to eat, but he could. He'd join her, if only to have motions to go through.

Midori gave almost a relieved smile, thankful he didn't find... rude or anything. She wasn't really sure. "Thank you," She said instead, leading him over to the food court area of the park.

"It's no trouble," he assured her, "I don't buy much anyway. I don't really need much as an avatar. So I have money for things like this, since the EMC pays me."

Midori nodded a little. "Well, at least you get paid for you're efforts." She said, leading him to a takoyaki stand that was set up. She supposed one good thing about the EMC, for the Buster's, was the pay. Kazuko was only a teenager still, and Sakurada just out of high school, but the both of them were both paid some, and housed, and fed. And the fact that Kazuko had been brought up there.

He placed two orders as he turned back to her, "Yeah. Risking lives is worth getting paid. If not, I don't know if I'd bother fighting."
He let that silence go for a moment.
"No, I would," he said, "That's not quite what I meant."

Midori gave a small smile to the man at the stand before Jin spoke again. She was silent for a second, processing the words he had just said, before shaking her head a little. "It's okay. I think I know what you mean." More or less, she added mentally. "Besides, it's only fair you get paid. Police officers get paid, and you do much more than they do, don't you?"

"That's more or less what I mean," he said, "Forgive my poor wording. Bad attempt at a joke," he said, hoping it didn't do something wrong with it.

Midori gave a reassuring smile. She knew the feeling, as most of her jokes weren't very good, and she seemed to offend people on occasion. "It's fine." She told him.

He took their meals and nodded to her, "I'm glad, then," he said, going to a seat with her.

Midori just gave a little smile as they took seats, taking her food from Jin. "Thanks again," She said, gesturing to the food. "I kind of slept through lunch, and forgot to eat before coming." She explained, a little blush on her face. It was a little embarrassing after all.
