The day had been going fine, until Usada had noticed Kazuko skipping out on her homework, again. One thing lead to another, and had ended with her yelling at the robot before storming off, changing clothes and leaving the base, saying she'd be back in an hour or so. To cool her head. She had a temper, and when it came to Usada, she was very short fused. Oh well; and if anything happened it wasn't like she couldn't be back at the base within three minutes anyway. She was fine taking a walk around the park for a bit. She had her Morphin Brace, she had candy just in case, and she was wearing shorts under her skirt.
It was only noon, but, already Kazuko was waiting for the day to end. She had been training, which was why she hadn't been doing homework. Really, saving the world was just a bit more important than homework, but, apparently not to Usada. Stupid rabbit, Kazu thought, fuming to herself as she left one of the tunnels out of the EMC base and headed to the park. No one seemed to notice the 16 year old girl climbing out of a tunnel behind a poster; maybe everyone was just so used to the strange happening because of the Vaglass that this was normal? She didn't even know anymore.
Letting out a sigh, Kazuko sat down on a bench in the park, and pulled a small box of jelly beans out of her purse, and began munching on them. Between just being out of the base for a bit, and some sweets, she would probably be cooled down and fine in a few minutes, but, she liked just getting out of the underground building for a bit every once in a while.

With a bit of a swagger Kiriha walked towards her. He liked to be by the base, keep an eye on it. He didn't actually like it - he didn't care for the underground. He wanted to be outside, free, something he couldn't be in Hyper Space - but he kept near, in case something was happening. He figured it was important for that regard.
Oh, it was Yellow. The young one. Well, maybe it was worth talking to her? He'd prefer someone closer to his age, someone with more life experience, but then he remembered. He lacked life experience. He was only fourteen when he was taken to Hyper Space. He had been forced to learn through the avatar, through the survivors he encountered in Hyper Space. He was an adult, yes, in body. Maybe mostly there in mind, but he was still a bit young.
He walked over and turned around, leaning his lower back against the back of the bench, "Something wrong, Yellow?" he questioned her. That was simply how he chose to ask, not thinking of if it was a good way or not.

Kazuko was too busy complaining to herself and eating her candy to notice anyone approaching her until they spoke. Jumping a little, she turned her head, surprised at who was there. "Ah... Jin-san." She said, her head tilting to the side a little, before remembering she was mad at Usada, and the little fact that she knew next to nothing about the man standing by the bench.
"It's nothing." She said instead, turning her head forward again, not bothering to correct about her name. It was different when they were out and about in their uniforms, but, right now at least, she wasn't YellowBuster, she was just Usami Kazuko. Not that Jin-san would probably care about that.

He ran his hand up through his hair and put it back on the top of the bench, "I imagine it must be nice, leaving them. I see you aren't in uniform, so I'm going to assume that you have time off, or something," he commented. He hated the place, but he'd been over that already. He thought he'd bring a bit of it up, however.
"Were I stuck in that place, I'd look happy to be out of it. It's not that it's bad, it's that it lacks freedom. Or that's how I view it, Ki-san," he said, changing what he called her. This one worked better to him. 'Yellow-san', but referring to color in Japanese.

Kazuko paused, closing the box of jelly beans before putting it back in her purse. "I got mad at Usada." She said after a second, frowning. "He keeps bothering me about homework, and I yelled at him. So I left." Being bothered about something she viewed as trivial as well as being stuck in the EMC base most of the day, if not all day, most days... It tended to get to her, and made her snappy for no reason at all.
Getting out of the base was one thing she just needed more often, even if it was just to fight the Vaglass. She just didn't like being holed up. And, it wasn't like it was small, so, being stuck in there didn't really bother her much. But, she had basically grown up there, and this was all she knew how to do. And sometimes it just got to her.

"You're young," he told her simply, matter-of-factly. "Homework is good for you. It's what you need to get through life; knowledge. I'm lucky I had enough of it before...," he didn't finish speaking.
He had been in Hyper Space since the age of fourteen. For thirteen years, learning the lessons he needed to learn in life from the people he encountered. Why did they talk about life? They took pity on him. Pity on such a young man being stuck with them in the hellish environment of Hyper Space. By teaching him about life - as if he would ever have a life to live - it almost made things better. At the very least it made him feel like he was normal, not someone doomed to die in Hyper Space. As he looked at Kazuko, he wondered. Did she not understand?

Kazuko wrinkled her nose a little. "I know that." She said, ignoring the fact that he trailed off. She knew little about him and J, but, she knew that he was trapped in the Hyper Space; this was just an avatar. Like Enter, sort of. "It's just he pesters me so much, and its just... ugh." She frowned again, and leaned forward, propping her head up on her hand.
She understood why she had to do her homework, even if she didn't like it. But, she spend most of her time training. What was the point of doing homework if it made her skip out on training. There would be no point in it if she couldn't help beat the Vaglass.

We can become nothing more than soldiers, but I'm certain that we all want to live our own lives. I know I do. I'm sure you do. And by learning, by living as a normal young adult would, you begin to fulfill that idea," he told her.
He was a fighter, and he was good at it. But no; that's not what he wanted to do with his life. Not that alone. He did want to live as normal a life as he could as an avatar, and so that would be his attempt. He had an easy time seeing it, from his unique perspective. If he could make the others see, or even just Kazuko right now, then that would be good for him.

"Hm..." Kazuko frowned a little bit, thinking, before smiling and nodding. "I suppose so." She said, cheering up some. She knew one day the fight against Vaglass would be over, and she would be able to live a mostly normal life - jumping and calories aside. And, homework was part of a normal life, so long as she was in school. And, depending on when Vaglass was defeated, she would probably still be in school, or could go to university.
"Thank you, Jin-san." She smiled up at the older man. Really, it was something she should have already known, but, she had been raised, more or less, to fight Vaglass. It was who she was. But, one day, it wouldn't be, because Vaglass would be gone, and she wouldn't be YellowBuster anymore. She could still work for the EMC, but, it would be different. But, maybe that was something to look forward to.

Kiriha moved off of the bench and walked away a bit, putting his hands in his pockets, "It's no trouble, Ki-san," he said. He turned towards her again, "I admit, I don't know your name offhand. Would you mind indulging me, and I'll do my best to remember?" he asked her. He would try this time instead of being more distant. He'd make an attempt with all of them, even.
He didn't mean not to make an attempt, he just hadn't been focused on it at the moment. He was working on fighting his enemies in the Vaglass first and foremost.

She really wasn't all that surprised that he didn't remember her name; if she was in his place, she probably wouldn't either, to be honest. "Usami Kazuko. Kazuko, or Kazu, either or." She said with a small smile, her legs swinging back and forth a little above the ground. Well, at least if he tried, she would stop being called 'Yellow' and 'Ki-san'. Not that she really minded nicknames, but, well... she didn't like being referred to as a colour, es specially when she wasn't in uniform.

"You know my name as it is, Kazuko-san," he said, choosing that name to refer to her as. "Kiriha, or Jin. There is no other name I like to be referred to as."
There were some who had called him 'Kiri-san' or with another honorific, but he didn't care for it. He despised that name, and wouldn't tell people of it. He didn't want them to even think about calling him that. At the least, nobody other than a lover. Would it be fine then? Sure.

Kazuko nodded; she would just stick with Jin-san; it was a little more formal, but, she barely knew the guy, aside from his name and stuff. But, hey, at least he was more or less referring to her as an equal; she was usually referred to as Kazu-chan or Kazuko-chan, which always made her feel like she was being treated as a child, except for Roku-san, but he was like a big brother to her, so it was different.
She was quiet for a second, before realizing something. "Hey, Jin-san? Where's J?" She asked, just noticing that the mans Buddy Roid was no where in sight.

He shrugged, "I don't know."
He had a part to play in creating the Buddyroid, yes, but he didn't really care for him. He helped out in Hyper Space, but now that he was free he preferred human peers to the Buddyroid. He was sentimental at times, yes, but J reminded him of Hyper Space, so he didn't like to interact continually with the machine anymore. It was nothing personal, it was just a change of preference based on world.

Kazuko nodded slowly once. Maybe she was just so used to the way Usada, Nick and Gorisaki acted that she figured that Jin-san and J would be that way, too. Not that she really cared that she was wrong. If anything, Usada was annoying more than half the time, and even if she loved the robot rabbit, he drove her up the wall, too. "Well, as long as he doesn't get into trouble, I suppose it doesn't really matter." She said with a small shrug of her shoulders, playing with a strand of hair.
